Suspected Killer Of Bayelsa APC Chieftain Has Been Arrested – PDP Leader Invited For “Questioning”
The Police in Bayelsa State have arrested one Promise Meshak in connection with the murder of an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Mr. Andrew June in Ekeremor, Ekeremor local government area of the State.
In a similar vein, 17 persons including a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Alex Ekiotenne, have been invited for questioning.
Andrew, it would be recalled, was hacked to death last Wednesday while returning from Ekeremor town, after attending the APC governorship campaign. Others attacked suffered various degrees of injuries.
According to the Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the arrest of Meshak said investigations were still ongoing.
