The grave dangers of consuming food sold by roadside vendors has again been brought to the fore after a woman was seen washing beans in what appears to be a carnal.
In a society like ours where there is little or no regulation and
standardisation in the food sector people should do their best to avoid
eating at road side joints.
Food safety is a matter of great public health concern worldwide and
particularly crucial if the environment in which the food is handled is
heavily contaminated.
Most Nigerians, especially those who spend long hours at work are often
left at the mercy of food vendors who prepare their meals in unhealthy
conditions.
These meals may appear cheap when compared to restaurant meals but they are grave dangers involved.
So the next time you think of eating at a roadside foods joint, please makes sure the environment is clean before purchasing the meals.
