About 15 students of Obafemi Awolowo
University (OAU) who were involved in cultism have surrendered in the
course of the ministration of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer
of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
According to Kemi Filani’s Blog, the students renounced their
membership during the 2016 edition of the annual University thanksgiving
service and maiden Holy Ghost night for the youths which was held
yesterday, January 14, at the new crusade ground of the institution and
had Pastor Adeboye minster during the evening session.
The minister who spoke on the topic: ‘The right hand of the Lord’ mentioned seven powerful characteristics of the right hand of God, said the Power of God is qualitative, quantitative, defiles time, creative, defiles space, defiles the laws of nature and that it surpasses other powers.
The general overseer of RCCG made an alter call, where those willing to give their lives to Christ were called to the front space and prayed for, he further made a call to students who have joined and are members of any cultist group to come out and surrender to God and embrace the most powerful power which is that of God.
The cultists including male and female students numbering over 15 rushed out following the call and were prayed for by the man of God.
Meanwhile, the general overseer of RCCG recently hinted on his impending death. The cleric said this at the 2015 annual Holy Ghost Congress of the church which left millions of worshipers in attendance in a great shock.
During the one-week programme which ended on a Saturday, with a three-in-one service, (comprising anointing, communion and impartation), the man of God had a transfer of anointing. Adeboye, who will be 74 in March 2016, said he would not be too young at 73 to go back to his savior.
