Following the massive gun battle that
broke out in Bori, Rivers state earlier on Tuesday, February 23, 9
people have been reported killed. The battle wasbetween
soldiers and militants suspected to be supporters of the ex-militant
leader, Solomon Ndigbara popularly known as SOLO. The campaign office of
Senator Magnus Abe in Bori, Gokhana local government area of the state
was reportedly set on fire by supporters of the ex-militant leader,
popularly known as General Osama Bin Laden. It is alleged that the
senator is the one instigating the military against SOLO.
Some other people were reportedly killed
in Yeghe community by the army. Bori became very restless today as the
men of the Nigerian Army started shooting sporadically, aiming directly
at innocent civilians. It was reported that armed youth killed some
military personnel on Monday, February 22, so the army retaliated. A
young okada man was shot dead by men of the Nigerian Army with two other
women who later died in the hospital. The photos were sent in by
