A top board member of CSKA Moscow football club of Russia has disclosed the reason Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was not sold to English Premier League teams.
Leicester, Manchester United and Southampton had all made frantic efforts to lure the Nigerian to England.

According to the source, Musa was not allowed to go despite interests from  top clubs in the English Premier League because they still need him.
It was also disclosed that CSKA want to keep him to help them do well in major competitions at least till the end of the season.


“Ahmed Musa was not sold by CSKA this winter because they want to do well in the competitions they are in. He is a very important player for them, may be they will allow him move when the season ends,” a source disclosed.
Ahmed Musa’s contract with CSKA Moscow runs till 2019.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Ikechukwu Uche has joined to Spanish La Liga side, Malaga from Mexican side Tigres.

Uche had a relatively poor stay in Mexico as he was dogged by injuries which prompted his failure to establish himself in the starting line-up.
Francesc Arnau, Malaga sports director described Ikechukwu Uche as a great player and will be a big contributor to his team.
Also Former Fenerbache Striker Joined Westham United in The Epl For The Rest Of the season on a loan deal which can be made permanent at the end of the season.
