Buhari’s Daughter Fatimah, the second daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari got married to Yau Gimba Kumo, a former banker, on Friday.
She became the fourth wife of 57-year-old Mallam Gimba Ya’u Kumo, who was a former Managing Director of Mortgage Bank, and he paid N100, 000 as the bride price.
Guests included Governors of Bauchi and Gombe state, as well as numerous Senators and Ministers. Several of the invitees drove straight to the Emir of Daura’s palace, Alhaji Umar Farouq, to pay homage before proceeding to the venue of the wedding.
There was a boost of activity in the state. NAN reports that supermarkets, shops, soft drink sellers and commercial motorcyclists were recording a boom in their businesses as visitors and well-wishers from across the country were sighted purchasing various traditional wares.
There were also traditional dancers and drummers who added a lot of colour to the event.
Guests had unhindered access to the president’s residence, venue of the marriage, in spite the heavy presence of security personnel.

However, only few prominent personnel had access to the main sitting room where the wedding took place.
