A church has been left in chaos after the Pope fired its Cardinals and church leaders over a controversy.
A popular Kenyan church has courted
controversy after it fired all its Cardinals and church leaders. The
action was taken by Pope Romanus Ongombe of the Legio Maria sect.
According to him, the Cardinals were
fired over allegations of corruption and misuse of funds. The Kenyans
reports that the Holy Father, 83, also accused the church leaders of
spreading malicious rumours that he had been ‘abducted’ by a woman.
“They lied to people that I had eloped with a woman…at my age do I need a woman? God is my protector,”an infuriated pope posed.
The action of the Pope has been backed
by the church members. It was gathered that the malicious rumours gained
grounds when one Dorothy Adhiambo, had volunteered to build a house for
the Man of God.
The incident comes barely a week before
the church holds its annual prayer ceremony in remembrance of the
church’s founding father messiah Melkio Ondeto.
